Spray & Fuse

The “Spray and Fuse” method is the only thermal spray process that, when applied correctly, provides a completely dense, metallurgically bonded coating (bond strengths in excess of 50,000psi!), making it uniquely suited to the most demanding applications. The nature of the process, where the material is first sprayed, and then subsequently fused, involves significant operator skill, and F. W. Gartner can legitimately claim to have more experience in this area than any company in the world.

The coatings produced are ideal for arduous service environments where combinations of wear, corrosion, erosion, galling and thermal shock may prove too severe for other technologies. Every application has unique technical and commercial demands. The “Spray and Fuse” process is yet another, often overlooked, potential solution.
