Thermal Spray — Rokide™

The coating material, in the form of a ceramic rod (i.e., chromium, zirconium and aluminum oxides), is fed into an oxygen-fuel flame and melted.  Compressed air atomizes and accelerates the molten particles onto the substrate.  One benefit of this process is that it can be used in close quarters or where target efficiencies are critical.
